A detached, mainly stone built cottage on a fairly remote, organic-ish old fashioned farm in the Dordogne.

Completely civilised inside, outside fields and woods shared with our sheep and a few hens.

The accommodation in the cottage is on three floors. The lowest has a fine, big bedroom with twin beds which can be put together to make a large double bed. Tere are windows and French windows opening onto a lawn. There is a separate shower room with a good shower, basin, WC and the washing machine. There's another single bedroom on this level.

A staircase leads up to the kitchen/dining room which has a huge woodburning stove in the middle of the wall separating the kitchen from the sitting room. The kitchen has twin sinks, a 4 ring gas hob and oven, fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster along with plenty of cupboards, crockery and ctulery.

The sitting room has three large windows, a 3 piee suite, TV, video and DVD player plus, of course, the other face of the woodburning stove. Calls made with the phone are charged at cost.

A staircase leads up to the upper bedroom where you'll find a 4'6" double bed and ensuite bathroom.

There's a range of metal garden furniture, deck chairs and a BBQ along with a set of tall swings for children and boules for everyone.

If the hens are laying we'll give you eggs. We sell the meat from our lambs (born, reared and butchered on the farm) which is better meat than exists elsewhere.

Kitchen/dining room
Sitting room ( Both with huge wood-burning stove )
3 bedrooms ( double, twin and single ) sleeping up to 5 with good cot available too.
Shower room with shower, basin & W/C.
Toilet cabinet ( en-suite with double bedroom ) with basin & W/C.

Loads of space outside ( more than 50 acres ) for parking, barbecuing, playing. No traffic at all nearby.
Usually free eggs from our free-range hens ( If ther're laying well enough- and they usually are ) Our own lamb meat better than exists elsewhere in this world - but you'll have to pay for that - about half the price that you'd pay at the butcher.

Everything that the Dordogne has to offer but, back here, all the peace and quiet anyone could possible wish for.
