La Verrerie is situated in the heart of the Livradois Forez National Park.
The gîte consists of two traditional Auvergne farmhouses which have been extensively renovated with many original features. Each of the farmhouses accommodates four people with a double and a twin room and they may be rented separately or together. There is a large terraced garden with a swimming pool and fabulous views across the entire chain of volcanoes. The garden includes barbeque, games area and stable block which includes a large playroom with table tennis table and playstation.
The gîte has a broadband Internet connection. The gite is 10 minutes from the nearest towns and 10 miles from the motorway.
La Verrerie comprises two Gites each of which has a double and a twin room. Each has a dining area, lounge, and equipped kitchen. The lounge has a DVD player, and CD/MP3 music system. There is broadband internet service. Outbuildings house washing machines, table tennis tables, playstations.
The house is surrounded by an acre of gardens laid out in terraced grass areas with trees and outhouses for shelter. There's a barbecue area and a swimming pool. The views have to be seen to be fully understood.
The auvergne is a mountainous area with forests and farmlands spread across a landscape of extinct volcanoes.
Fabulous for walking, mountain biking, motorcyling, a feast for photographers, and gourmets, with a range of restaurants to try!
Local mountain bike hire available. Some walking maps are provided, many more available from nearby tourist offices.
We have to close up the houses in winter as, unless they are occupied all year, the pipes would freeze. Once the warmer weather arrives, the houses are available from spring to autumn.
